VeeSpray Ceramic Nebulizer (1.0L/min Ar)

A VeeSpray Ceramic Nebulizer is a specialized type of nebulizer used in Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) spectroscopy. For example, it’s particularly important when handling samples that contain high levels of dissolved solids, particulates, and even HF (hydrofluoric acid). As a result of the materials it is made from, the VeeSpray, with its alumina ceramic construct, is highly robust, abrasion-resistant, and virtually unblockable.

Why is VeeSpray Ceramic Nebulizer – ARG-1-CV6 Important in ICP?

  • Handles challenging samples: ICP analysis often involves analyzing samples with complex matrices.  Therefore, these include geological samples that may contain refractory oxides requiring HF digestion and potentially large particulates. Thanks to proper design, the VeeSpray’s ceramic construction allows it to handle these challenging conditions without clogging.
  • High robustness and abrasion resistance: The alumina ceramic material makes it very durable and resistant to wear. In addition, this makes it suitable for extended use and frequent handling of samples with particulates.
  • Suitable for various applications: The VeeSpray is available for both ICP-AES (atomic emission spectroscopy) and ICP-MS (mass spectrometry).
  • Reproducible performance: It provides reliable and consistent performance, even when working with samples containing large particulates.
  • Ideal for HF analysis: The VeeSpray’s resistance to HF makes it suitable for analyzing samples that require HF for digestion, common in geological and materials analysis.
  • Non-concentric design: The VeeSpray uses a non-concentric design, requiring the use of a peristaltic pump for sample delivery, according to Glass Expansion.
